Avacor

Avacor is available in soft capsules, designed to ensure increased bioavailability and efficient absorption of Omega-3 fatty acids and fat-soluble compounds such as vitamin K2 and hydroxytyrosol. 

The capsules are made from gelatin, glycerin as a humectant, and colorants (iron oxide, titanium dioxide, carmine), which provide optimal protection against oxidation of sensitive ingredients and ensure stability during storage.

Avacor Cardio Complex is recommended in the following situations:

• Supporting the integrity of arterial walls by reducing oxidative processes and providing vasoprotective compounds.
• Improving the tone and elasticity of blood vessels, contributing to efficient blood circulation.
• Protecting cardiac function, especially in contexts of oxidative stress or lipid imbalances.
• Maintaining normal blood pressure as part of a balanced lifestyle.

The recommended dose is 1 capsule per day, preferably taken with the main meal to optimise the absorption of fat-soluble compounds. 

A 6-month period of use is recommended, with the possibility of extension on the advice of a specialist, depending on therapeutic objectives and individual response. 

Avacor is contraindicated in the following situations:

• Hypersensitivity to any of the components, especially fish, soy or their derivatives.
• Coagulation disorders or anticoagulant treatment, due to the content of Omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin K2, which may influence the coagulation process.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the absence of a medical recommendation, due to insufficient data for a complete assessment of the safety of the combination of compounds.
• Scheduled surgical procedures, in which case the product should be discontinued at least 2 weeks prior.

Consumption of the product should be accompanied by a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, optimal hydration and regular physical activity, in order to amplify the therapeutic benefits.

Consistent administration is essential to achieve beneficial cardiovascular effects, as the active ingredients act cumulatively.

Avacor is generally well tolerated, but reactions such as the following may occur:

• gastrointestinal discomfort (fishy-tasting belching, mild nausea, abdominal fullness);
• allergic reactions to fish or soy derivatives;
• rarely, headache or dizziness, especially at the beginning of administration;
• changes in coagulation, if associated with anticoagulant medication.

Side effects are mostly temporary and go away as your body adjusts.

Avacor may interact with certain medicines such as:

• Anticoagulants/antiplatelet agents (warfarin, acenocoumarol, aspirin): potential increase in the risk of bleeding due to vitamin K2 and omega-3 fatty acids.
• Statins: the combination is generally beneficial and synergistic for the lipid profile, but requires medical supervision.

Overdose is unlikely due to the low dose, but accidental ingestion of several capsules may cause acute digestive symptoms (nausea, diarrhoea), headache or coagulation disorders. In such situations, medical monitoring and possibly symptomatic measures are recommended.

Avacor should be stored at room temperature, below 25°C, in a dry place, away from light and moisture, to prevent oxidation of fatty acids. The product should be kept in its original packaging to preserve the integrity of the soft capsules.
