Product Description:

It is a native plant found in the forests of North America. It is an ornamental and herbaceous perennial, reaching a height of over one meter at maturity. It is characterized by large leaves with three pinnate divisions and irregular teeth, as well as tall plumes of cream-white flowers on central stems The rhizomes and roots of black cohosh are of economic importance. The fur is dark brown to black; it is thick, knotty and produces large buds on the upper surface. Rhizomes are covered with fibrous roots, which are usually concentrated in the lower part of the plant. When the leaves of the plant begin to die in autumn, the root is harvested, cleaned and usually dried, or an infusion is made from it.
