Xanterdes ophthalmic solution, 20 single-dose vials x 0.3 ml, SIFI

Properties:
- it is indicated to relieve eye discomfort and irritation caused by environmental conditions such as dust, heat, smoke, wind, air conditioning, allergens;
- in addition, XANTERDES contains a very low concentration of corticosteroid, desonide sodium phosphate, which contributes to the action of the medical device against minor irritations of the eye surface.

Way of ussage:
It is recommended to instill 1 drop of XANTERDES in the conjunctival fornix, three times a day, unless the doctor indicates otherwise. The product must be used with medical advice.

Ingredients:
Sterile, clear, preservative-free ophthalmic solution containing xanthan gum 0.2% and sodium desonide phosphonate 0.025%.

Precautions:
Hypersensitivity to the product components; ocular hypertension and glaucoma, eye infections (such as Herpes Simplex, viral infection of the cornea, bacterial, viral or fungal conjunctivitis, ocular tuberculosis and mycosis, purulent and herpetic blepharitis, stye); injuries or abrasions of the cornea; diseases related to thinning of the cornea.

Warnings:
The product contains low concentrations of corticosteroids, therefore it should not be used chronically, unless indicated by a doctor.
Very rarely, cases of corneal calcification have been reported in association with the use of phosphate-containing eye drops in some patients with significantly damaged corneas.
The use of corticosteroids, especially if prolonged, can cause an increase in intraocular pressure. Therefore, intraocular pressure monitoring is recommended when corticosteroids are used for periods exceeding two weeks. Since corticosteroids also promote the appearance of cataracts, it is recommended not to use them for long periods.
XANTERDES can also be used by people who wear contact lenses, but they must remove the lenses before administering the product and wait 10 minutes before reinserting them.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
In children and during pregnancy, the product should be administered only in cases of real need and only under medical supervision.

Side effects:
Use of the product may occasionally cause slight burning after instillation.

Interactions with other medications or medical devices for ocular use.
There are no known interactions of the product with the administration of other ophthalmic drugs.
However, it is recommended not to administer other medications or medical devices for ocular use within 10 minutes of instilling the XANTERDES solution.

Precautions for use and storage:
Do not use XANTERDES solution if the single-dose container is opened or damaged.
Avoid touching the tip of the open container to the eye or any surface, and avoid direct contact with the eye.
Each single-dose container should be used immediately after opening.
Do not reuse the remaining product, as XANTERDES does not contain preservatives and the remaining product may become contaminated.
After opening each aluminum envelope, the remaining single-dose containers should be kept in the envelope to protect the product from light. After opening the aluminum envelopes, the single-dose containers must be used within 28 days.
Do not store at temperatures above 25 °C.
Do not use XANTERDES after the expiry date.
Do not throw the product into the environment after use.
XANTERDES solution can be administered to children or people with limited abilities, under the supervision of a responsible adult.
