What is Venoruton 300 good for?
- For the relief of ankle swelling due to chronic venous insufficiency.
- In patients with varicose veins (varicose veins) and other diseases of the veins of the lower limbs.
- The medicine reduces swelling and relieves accompanying symptoms, such as a burning sensation, tired, heavy, swollen, painful and "restless" legs, paresthesia (a tingling or tingling sensation), and cramps.
- In the case of hemorrhoids in the rectal mucosa, it reduces swelling and relieves symptoms such as itching, bleeding and urination.
- To reduce capillary permeability in the retina of the eye of diabetic patients (diabetic retinopathy).
- To reduce swelling in case of lymphedema (swelling due to impaired lymph flow).
Dosage
The recommended dose is between 500 mg and 2000 mg per day, usually used for 1 to 3 months.
Initial doses
1 tablet twice a day. It is necessary to adhere to the dose until the symptoms and edema are completely relieved. Symptomatic improvement usually occurs within 2 weeks. Maintenance doses
The same dose or a minimum maintenance dose of 500 mg to 600 mg HR per day, which corresponds to 1 tablet once a day. After complete relief of symptoms and edema, treatment can be discontinued. If symptoms return, treatment can be resumed at the same dose or at a minimum maintenance dose of 500 mg to 600 mg HR per day.
Hemorrhoids Symptomatic treatment: recommended dose 600 mg, 1000 mg or 1800 mg daily for 1-4 weeks.
Diabetic retinopathy The recommended dose is 1800 to 3000 mg HR/day.
Lymphedema The recommended dose is 3000 mg HR/day.
Patients with swelling of the lower limbs caused by heart, kidney or liver diseases should not take this medicine, as the effect has not been demonstrated in these indications.
Warning
- Venoruton 300 contains the drug O-(beta-hydroxyethyl)-rutoside and for internal use.
- Venoruton 300 is not recommended for children under 18 years of age.
- In accordance with generally accepted safety requirements, do not use Venoruton 300 during the first three months of pregnancy.
- Venoruton 300 has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
- Fatigue and dizziness have been reported rarely in patients taking this medication. If you are tired or dizzy, do not drive or use machines.
