Description:
Hamamelis or "witches' nut" is a shrub widespread in the forests of North America and Canada, very resistant to low temperatures. It has strange flowers in the form of narrow yellow strips, which appear with the fruits in late autumn to winter. Nowadays, a series of remedies are based on witch hazel extract, recognized by the European Pharmacopoeia for applications in the case of venous insufficiency, phlebitis, hemorrhoids or various other dermatological conditions.
