Antimicrobial calcium alginate dressing with silver

Suprasorb A + AG reduces the bacterial load directly in the wound bed and is therefore particularly suitable for infected or at-risk wounds – including those infected with MRSA or VRE*. In addition to these properties, Suprasorb A + AG is also a soft, conformable wound dressing that adapts well to any wound bed. Its high exudate absorption capacity is especially evident in highly exuding wounds. Upon contact with exudate, Suprasorb A + AG forms a gel. This gel absorbs bacteria and germs, resulting in a moist wound environment and wound cleansing. Overall, this high exudate absorption capacity promotes wound healing.

Areas of application:
For the treatment of wounds at risk of infection or infected wounds, if they are highly exudative, superficial or deep.

Indications:

Intended purpose:
Suprasorb A + Ag compresses/tampons can be used for the treatment of wounds at risk of infection and infected wounds.

Notes:
Dressing change interval:
The intervals at which the Suprasorb A + Ag dressing needs to be changed are determined by the treating physician. Depending on the degree of exudate, the dressing can remain on/in the wound for up to 7 days.

In case of infections:
Occlusive secondary dressing only at the doctor's discretion, depending on the overall situation.
