Where did the idea of putting sea water in a bottle and rinsing your nose with it come from?

The beginnings of using seawater as a nasal spray date back to the 1970s . The Frenchman Francoise Herlemont, an enthusiastic skier and later founder of the Stérimar brand , spent a lot of time in the coastal waters of the Atlantic thanks to water skiing. Gradually, he began to realize that , thanks to the constant rinsing of his nose with sea water, he does not suffer from a cold and breathes well . He began to work further with the idea, he wanted to convey the beneficial effects of sea water to those who do not move in sea water as much as he does. In 1975, he implemented his idea and began producing seawater spray - the Stérimar brand was created.
