Sikatris silicone patch - how does it work?
The patch is made of silicone, which:
- adheres perfectly to the skin thanks to adhesion forces,
- increases the temperature of the skin surface by 1.5°C, which increases collagenase activity, thus favoring the regeneration process,
- limits the excessive evaporation of water from the epidermis, which favors hydration and reduces discomfort and itching;
- creates a transparent, waterproof layer.
