Shilajit/Asphaltum/Mumio (Sanskrit for "Destroyer of Weaknesses") is a bitter-tasting dark brown resinous phytomineral compound found in the Himalayas, Tibet or the Caucasus at altitudes of over 2,000-5,000 meters , being also known under various other names: mountain balm, rock juice, mountain oil, mountain blood.
