Composition:
- Ethanol (alcohol) which can cause burns and/or irritation if it accidentally comes into contact with the eyes. If in eyes, mouth or on broken skin, wash the affected area with plenty of cold water
- Butylhydroxytoluene which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis), or eye and mucous membrane irritations
- Cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol which may cause local skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis).
How to use:
- For men aged 18 years and over: A dose of 1 g (equivalent to the volume of half a cap) of Regaine is applied to the entire affected area of the scalp twice a day (once in the morning and once in the evening)
- The maximum recommended total daily dose of minoxidil in men is 100 mg, administered as a foam, up to 2 g per day.
Contraindications:
Do not use Regaine if you are allergic to minoxidil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Regaine if you:
- You have heart disease including abnormal heartbeat or rhythm, angina or chest pain and/or circulation problems
- When minoxidil enters the bloodstream, it can cause some side effects related to lowering blood pressure, such as chest pain, fast heartbeat, feeling weak, dizziness, sudden unexplained weight gain, or swelling of the hands and feet
- It can also cause redness or persistent scalp irritation
- If you experience any of these side effects, stop using this medicine immediately and contact your doctor
- Some patients have experienced changes in hair color and texture when using this medicine
- Pronounced hair loss (small areas of scalp without hair) may occur initially after 2 to 6 weeks of treatment. This is a sign that the treatment is effective and that new hairs are replacing the old ones. This stops in a few weeks
- If the fall persists, stop using Regaine and contact your doctor
- Accidental ingestion can cause severe side effects in the heart. Therefore, this medicine should not be kept out of the reach of children
- If the foam is accidentally applied to areas of the body other than the scalp, rinse with plenty of water to avoid unwanted hair growth
- Regaine should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age
- Regaine is extremely flammable.Avoid fire, flame, or smoking immediately after use.
Use of shampoo during treatment:
- You can use a mild shampoo while using Regaine
- The scalp must be dry when applying Regaine.
Use of hair care products during treatment:
- For best results, you must allow Regaine to penetrate the scalp thoroughly before using any styling products
- Apply Regaine first, and then apply styling products as usual
- Do not mix with products that are applied to the scalp.
Tips on coloring his hair permanently:
- There is no information available that these procedures may alter the effect of treatment with Regaine
