Protego SIMETICON MAX reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the intestines, which makes it easier for them to burst and then be excreted. Simethicone has a surface effect and does not enter into any chemical reaction. It is a pharmacologically and physiologically neutral substance.

The Protego SIMETICON MAX medical device contains 240 mg of simethicone in a soft gelatin capsule.

The ingredients of the shell are: pork gelatin, glycerol.

The medical device does not contain sugar or dyes.

Indications:
Protego SIMETICON MAX is intended to be used as an adjuvant for preparing patients for diagnostic examinations of the abdominal cavity (ultrasound, endoscopy, radiography and colonoscopy), in order to remove gases and air from the digestive tract, which improves the quality of the images. obtained.

How to apply:
Protego SIMETICON MAX capsules are taken orally, before or after a meal, with an adequate amount of liquid (eg 1 glass of water). It is not recommended to drink carbonated drinks while using the preparation.

Symptoms related to tension and pressure in the intestines:

Adults: in the morning, 1 capsule, 24 times a day. Maximum 4 capsules per day (960 mg simethicone).

Pregnant women: dosage and method of use according to the recommendations of the doctor or pharmacist.

No dose adjustment is necessary for people with diabetes.

Children aged 12 to 18 years: in the morning, 1 capsule per day.

Preparation for diagnostic tests:

Adults: 1 capsule in the evening the day before the diagnostic test and 1 capsule in the morning, on an empty stomach, on the day of the diagnostic test.

Pregnant women: dosage and method of use according to the recommendations of the doctor or pharmacist.

No dose adjustment is necessary for people with diabetes.

Warning:

Do not use more than 4 capsules per day for adults and 1 capsule per day for children over 12 years of age.

Simethicone may reduce the bioavailability of concomitantly administered drugs. If it is necessary to use the product simultaneously with other drugs, a break of at least one hour must be kept between the administration of the Protego SIMETICON MAX medical device and other preparations. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

In case of simultaneous use of levothyroxine and simethicone, an interval of 4 hours should be maintained.

If symptoms worsen or persist for a long time, seek medical advice.

The product can be used by people with diabetes and people with sugar digestion disorders.

To be kept in the original packaging at a temperature of 1525ºC. Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Do not use the product after the expiry date written on the blister and on the packaging.
