Prenatal ^® lacto is a food supplement specially developed for lactating women with the aim of supplementing the daily diet with valuable ingredients contained in it. It is a combination of two formulas: Prenatal ^® lacto 1 capsules and Prenatal ^® lacto 2 soft capsules.

What does Prenatal ^® lacto - a dietary supplement in capsules for breastfeeding women - contain?

The Prenatal ^® lacto 1 capsule allows you to supplement your daily diet with, among other things: the active form of folic acid - calcium L-methylfolate, vitamin D, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 ready to be methylated (methyl B12), as well as microencapsulated iron, iodine, choline, myo-inositol and lactoferrin from cow's milk.

• The use of folic acid supplements increases the concentration of folate in the mother's body. Folate also helps in the proper synthesis of amino acids, also playing a role in proper blood production. Folates also participate in the process of cell division. After oral administration, methylated folic acid does not require further metabolism and can be immediately transported to target cells. Each capsule contains up to 800 µg of folate, which is 400% of the reference intake for this ingredient.
• Folate, vitamin B6 and B12 help maintain proper psychological functions.
• Folate, vitamin B6, B12 and iron help reduce tiredness and fatigue.
• Vitamin B6, B12 and iodine support the proper functioning of the nervous system and, together with iron, contribute to maintaining proper energy metabolism.
• Folate, vitamin B6, B12 and D and iron support the proper functioning of the immune system. Vitamin D also helps keep bones and teeth healthy and muscles working properly.
• Vitamins B6 and B12 and iron help in the proper production of red blood cells. At the same time, iron helps in the proper production of hemoglobin and the transport of oxygen in the blood.
• Vitamin B12 together with vitamin B6 and choline help in the correct synthesis of cysteine. Choline also supports the proper functioning of the liver, and vitamin B12 plays a role in the process of cell division.

Prenatal ^® lacto 2 gelatin capsule contains fish oil, beta-carotene and marigold extract ( Tagetes erecta L. ) standardized for lutein and zeaxanthin content. Fish oil is a natural source of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an omega-3 fatty acid.

• The consumption of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) by the mother contributes to the proper development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and the breastfed infant. The beneficial effect occurs when 200 mg of DHA per day is consumed above the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids for adults, i.e. 250 mg of DHA and EPA.
