Ophthalmo-septonex eye ointment 1 x 5 g
Description
Contraindications
- Ophthalmo-Septonex is not used in cases of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, in cases of reduced tear production and in cases of inflammation of the cornea and conjunctiva with limited tear secretion.
Dosage
- Usually, adults and children are treated with a small amount of eye ointment instilled into the conjunctival sac or applied to the eyelid skin 3 to 5 times a day, for a maximum of 14 days. In the case of concomitant treatment with eye drops, the ointment is usually used at night.
- It is advisable to keep the eye closed for 2-3 minutes after applying the ointment to the eye socket so that the active ingredient does not run off with the tears and can be absorbed by the cornea and conjunctiva.
- If two or more eye ointments are used, at least 10 minutes should elapse between their applications.
- Before first use, it is recommended to squeeze out and remove about 1 cm of ointment.
