Description
Nutulis Clear is a food for special medical purposes based on xanthan gum. The powder preparation is intended for quick thickening of liquids. The preparation was developed for the dietary management of dysphagia.
Dysphagia means difficulty passing food or liquids from the mouth through the throat and esophagus to the stomach. It can occur, among others, in patients with head and neck cancer. It also occurs in cases of diseases of the central nervous system (some forms of stroke, diseases of the spine, multiple sclerosis, ischemia).
Nutricia Nutis Clear is a white, odorless powder with a neutral taste. Importantly, it thickens quickly and, when added to a drink or food, allows it to remain transparent. The preparation is resistant to amylase, so it does not change the consistency of thickened fluids in the oral cavity.
