Description
Nasivin Baby 0.1 mg/ml is a medicine in the form of nasal drops that clears the blocked nose, suitable for infants aged 3 to 12 months. The active substance of this medicine is oxymetazoline hydrochloride (Oxymetazolini hydrochloridum), which narrows blood vessels, thanks to which, when administered into the nose, it reduces swelling of the mucous membrane and inhibits excessive secretion. Acting in this way, the medicine makes it easier for the little patient to breathe freely through the nose and also allows him to drink liquids freely and sleep peacefully.
Nasivin Baby should not be used for more than 5 to 7 days, as the effectiveness of such drugs can be reduced by long-term use or overdose (tachyphylaxis). The medicine does not contain preservatives.
Nasivin Baby – properties
The drug facilitates the elimination of secretions and the healing of bacterial infection because the reduction of nasal congestion causes the opening and dilation of the drainage channels of the paranasal sinuses and the unblocking of the Eustachian tubes.
