Omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), contribute to the proper functioning of the heart. The beneficial effect occurs when 250 mg of EPA and DHA are consumed per day.
Vitamin E helps protect cells against oxidative stress.
