Milk storage
To prevent the growth of bacteria, milk that is not used immediately should be stored in the refrigerator or freezer (if not used within 24 hours). More information can be found in the article on storing breast milk. Place the sealed bag in a glass of warm water or refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
Thawing frozen milk
Never thaw milk in a microwave oven or in a pot of boiling water!
