Description
Imodium ® Instant is an anti-diarrhea medicine in the form of tablets that dissolve in the mouth with a mint flavor.
The active substance of the drug is loperamide, which reduces intestinal peristalsis, prolongs the passage of food through the intestines, increases the resting tone of the anal sphincter and reduces the need to defecate. 1 tablet contains 2 mg of loperamide hydrochloride, which has antidiarrheal properties.
Imodium ® Instant comes in the form of tablets that dissolve in the mouth and do not require drinking water.
When to use Imodium ® Instant?
The over-the-counter medicine is used for the symptomatic treatment of acute episodes of diarrhea associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in adults (over 18 years of age) after the disease has been previously diagnosed by a doctor.
Fast-acting Imodium ® Instant Tablet can also be used in cases of acute diarrhea, including those related to food poisoning, travel and chronic diarrhea in adults and children from 6 years of age.
In patients with ileal fistula, Imodium ® Instant can be used to reduce the number and volume of stools and increase their consistency.
