Sanzien tea, 50 g, Fares [5941141001585]
Christian legends tell that sânziene were some of the "herbs of the cradle", that is, they were found in the hay in the manger in Bethlehem, about which the four holy evangelists told.
In England in the 16th century, due to its bright yellow flowers, this plant was also called "maiden's hair".
In the popular Romanian tradition there is the celebration of love and fertility dedicated to the Sânziens or Dragaices, mythical nocturnal characters, who appear in the fields on the night of June 23 to 24.
The Sânzien were considered beautiful women, true priestesses of the sun hidden in the dark forests, untouched by man.
In our popular tradition, sànzienelles were well known and used due to their diuretic, purifying effect, and in external applications for a good skin condition.
Sanziene are considered "laxative, diuretic, and blood purifier; also used in psoriasis and other skin problems."
