Description
Espumisan 100 mg drops, 30 ml, Berlin-Chemie
This medicine treats the symptoms of bloating (excessive accumulation of gas in the intestine) and is indicated for all age groups.
It works by disintegrating the gas bubbles in the food bowl and the mucus in the digestive tract. The gases released during this process can be absorbed (taken up) through the intestinal wall or eliminated through bowel movements.
Espumisan 100 mg/ml oral drops, emulsion is used as a non-prescription medicine: to treat gastrointestinal symptoms caused by gas, for example gas accumulation in the intestine (flatulence, bloating).
Under the supervision of a doctor:
- to treat gastrointestinal symptoms caused by gas, for example excessive formation of gas in the intestine after operations
- for preparation for diagnostic examination of the abdomen (for example, in radiography and sonography, endoscopic examination; as an adjunct to suspensions with contrast substances).
Composition:
- The active substance is simethicone

- If necessary, a few extra milliliters of emulsion are introduced through the endoscope channel, during the examination, to eliminate the interference caused by the foam bubbles
- Shake before use
- Using the dropper (10 - 25 drops): the bottle must be held vertically with the dropper pointing down.25 drops are equivalent to 1 ml of emulsion (equivalent to simethicone 100 mg)
- Use of the measuring device: as a measuring device, a measuring device graduated in milliliters is attached to the screw cap of the 30 ml and 50 ml bottles. If necessary (for example, for doses of 25 drops or more), this device can be removed and used instead of the dropper for measuring the dose. Note: Due to the danger of being swallowed, the measuring device must not be left within the reach of children
