Description
Espumisan 100 mg/ml is a medicine in the form of a milky white emulsion intended for oral use. Symptomatically treats flatulence in all age groups - infants, children, adolescents, adults.
Foaming flatulence drops are used in connection with excessive gas accumulation and in the perioperative period and as an aid in the preparation of abdominal examinations.
How does simethicone - Espumisan 100 work?
Espumisan for infants, children and adults contains the active substance - simethicone - 100 mg/ml. It is a stable, surface-active polydimethylsiloxane. It reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles, causing them to burst. It does not enter into any chemical or enzymatic reaction. After passing through the digestive tract, it is excreted unchanged.
The concentrated dose (100 mg simethicone/1 ml) means that the patient has less liquid to swallow.
