It is not absorbed by the body, it is excreted with faeces unchanged. In addition, it is easy to administer and does not change the taste of your favorite drink.

10 ml of DULCOSOFT Junior liquid contain 5 g of macrogol 4000.

Other ingredients: potassium sorbate, macrogol 400, citric acid, purified water

DOSAGE

Children over 6 months. up to 1 year: 8 ml of solution daily, preferably in a single dose taken in the morning.

Children from 2 to 3 years: 8-16 ml of solution daily, preferably in a single dose taken in the morning.

Children from 4 to 7 years: 16-32 ml of solution daily, preferably in a single dose taken in the morning.

Adults and children over 8 years of age: 20-40 ml of solution daily, preferably in a single dose taken in the morning.

The product can be mixed with a selected drink, for example a glass of water, fruit juice or tea (about 150 ml).

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Do not use DULCOSOFT Junior
• in the following cases:
• Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
• Severe inflammatory bowel disease (such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease) or toxic megacolon.
• Occurrence or risk of perforation of the gastrointestinal tract.
• Positive intestinal obstruction or suspected intestinal obstruction or symptomatic intestinal strictures.
• Abdominal pain syndromes of unknown cause. Do not use DULCOSOFT Junior if the above symptoms occur. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking the DULCOSOFT Junior medical device.

STORAGE

Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not store DULCOSOFT Junior at temperatures above 25°C. Do not store in the refrigerator.

DULCOSOFT Junior liquid must be used within 6 weeks of opening the bottle.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Side effects were generally mild and transient. Adverse reactions in adults and children: diarrhea, abdominal pain, abdominal distention, nausea, vomiting, faecal incontinence and flatulence. Rarely, the following may occur: anaphylactic shock, anaphylactic reaction, angioedema, urticaria, rash, hypersensitivity reaction. In case of diarrhoea, which usually improves when the treatment is stopped or the dose is reduced, you should consider contacting your doctor, as treatment may be required to prevent salt (electrolyte) loss due to fluid loss.

WARNINGS

As with all laxatives, organic disease must be ruled out before starting treatment.

The medical device DULCOSOFT Junior should not be administered daily continuously for a long period of time without investigating the cause of constipation. If you have persistent abdominal pain, seek medical advice.

In the event of diarrhea, caution should be exercised in patients susceptible to fluid and electrolyte disturbances (eg, elderly patients, those with hepatic or renal impairment, or patients taking diuretics) and monitoring of electrolyte concentrations should be considered.

Allergic conditions (such as anaphylactic shock, anaphylactic reaction, angioedema, urticaria, rash and hypersensitivity) may occur in patients taking products containing macrogol.

If you notice any of the above symptoms, stop using DULCOSOFT Junior and consult your doctor immediately.

DULCOSOFT Junior and other products

Macrogol 4000 increases the osmotic pressure in the intestinal lumen, which can alter the intestinal absorption of other products administered simultaneously. If you are taking other products, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

DULCOSOFT Junior can be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The absorption of macrogol 4000 is negligible, therefore it should not have any effect on the body. However, pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before using the DULCOSOFT Junior medical device.

Use in children

The product should not be used in children under 6 months. If the product is used in children under 8 years of age, consult a doctor.

Use in patients with diabetes

DULCOSOFT Junior can be used by people with diabetes. The solution does not contain sugar.
