Composition:
Cranberry saplings - Vaccinium vitis idaea.
Active principles:
Arbutoside, hydroquinone, flavones, tannin, vitamin C, ericoline, mineral salts.
Therapeutic action:
Increases diuresis, renal disinfectant (very useful in cystitis), anti-inflammatory; it is used as an antidiarrheal.
Recommendations:
Internal: colitis, colibacillosis, disturbed transit (diarrhea or constipation), cystitis, kidney diseases (especially lithiasis), kidney infections, rheumatism, gout, arthritis and atroses in old age, osteoporosis.
Administration method:
Internally: Infusion: from 1-2 teaspoons of the plant to 250 ml of hot water. Leave covered for 15 - 20 minutes, then filter. Drink 2 teas a day. In order to fully extract the active substances from the leaves, it is recommended that the tea be prepared in the following way: pour 100 g of cold water over two teaspoons of the plant. Mix well and after 15 minutes strain the liquid into a bowl. Pour 150 ml of boiling water over the remaining leaves after straining the liquid and boil for 15 minutes. Take the pot off the heat and let it stand for 10 minutes, then strain. Mix both liquids. Drink 2 teas a day.
Contraindications:
Not recommended for pregnant women.
