In addition, the fixing cream seals the denture, preventing food particles from getting under the plate. As a result of contact with moisture (saliva), the cream swells, causing the displacement of the air present between the dental plaque and the oral tissue. This reduces the empty spaces between the gums and the denture and consequently allows the patient a firm bite and the possibility to eat healthier, more varied foods.
