Chondrosulf 400 is a specific non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic drug. The preparation is effective in the treatment of degenerative joint diseases, especially arthrosis of the knee (gonarthrosis), hip (coxarthrosis) and fingers. And this is primarily due to the content of the drug chondroitin sulfate, which is one of the main components of the intercellular mass of cartilage and has the ability to bind water and thus increase the volume and flexibility of cartilage.

What is osteoarthritis?

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of osteoarthritis, which is a degenerative joint disease in which joint cartilage is gradually lost and rebuilt. During the process, reactive changes in bone tissue are observed around the affected joint, as well as changes in attachments and ligaments.

Osteoarthritis occurs when the cartilage in the joints gradually wears away and thins, causing inflammation and pain in the joint. The pain first appears during movement and more intense activity, but in the later stages of the disease it can persist even at rest and can be present even at night. In arthrosis of larger joints, the so-called beginning pains, which are painful sensations that reach their peak at the beginning of movement, after a long period of rest, and disappear within a few minutes of active movement.

Chondroitin sulfate

It suppresses the activity of cartilage-damaging enzymes, promotes the exchange of substances in cartilage and improves the mechanical-elastic properties of cartilage. The administration of the Condrosulf® 400 mg capsule leads to the restoration of the metabolic balance of the basic cellular components of cartilage (chondrocytes) by providing chondroitin sulfate.

Dosage

Initial treatment for 2 weeks: 2 capsules twice a day.

Maintenance treatment 2-3 months: 2 capsules once a day. After finishing the course, a period of 3 months without treatment and possible repetition of the course is recommended.

The capsules can be taken before a meal, during a meal or after a meal with a sufficient amount of liquid. Administration after meals is recommended for patients with a sensitive stomach.

Warning

The preparation is intended for adult patients from II. and III. Kellgren's disease stage is less appropriate for patients with very advanced disease.

Condrosulf® 400 mg capsules, drug with the active substance chondroitin sulfate for internal use. Pack of 60 or 180 capsules. The medicine is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any auxiliary substance of this medicine. The preparation is not intended for children and adolescents under the age of 18.
