Brita Marella is a pitcher with a water filter in a classic white color. Thanks to its simple, universal shape and optimal size, it will easily fit on the refrigerator door.

The jug is extremely easy to fill - just lift the flap on the lid with one hand and pour water. PerfectFit technology guarantees the perfect fit of Brita filters, ensuring efficient purification of tap water. Filtration only occurs when the Maxtra Pro cartridge is installed correctly, ensuring that the filtered water is clean and tastes great. There is a Memo indicator on the cover to remind you to replace the filter cartridge with a new one.

How to use

Brita Marella pitcher - how to use?

Wash the bowl before the first use (it is dishwasher safe, except for the lid).
Fill the washed bowl with cold water.
Immerse the cartridge in cold water and gently shake it to remove air bubbles.
Remove the filter and pour the water.
Place the Maxtra Pro water filter into the funnel opening and press until it locks into place.
Fill the pitcher with cold water.
The Maxtra Pro water filter is activated during the first two fills. Pour the water from the first two fillings or use it, for example, to water flowers.
By the third fill, the filtered water is ready for use.
Before first use, after activating the water filter, remove the protective film from the Brita Memo indicator on the lid.
Press and hold the "START" button until four bars appear on the display and flash twice. A flashing dot in the lower right corner of the display indicates that the Memo indicator is active.
If the display flashes blank, a new water filter is needed.
If the pitcher will not be used for a long time, remove the water filter and empty the pitcher, then place the filter tightly into an empty funnel.

How to clean a Brita jug?

The Brita Marella Cool filter bowl is very easy to clean - just rinse it under running water with a mild detergent or put it in the dishwasher (except for the lid with the Memo indicator).

The secret to the efficient operation of the cartridge is the activated carbon from the coconut shells, which limits, among other things: the amount of substances that affect the taste of the water, metals and PFAS* chemicals.

How does the Brita Maxtra Pro Pure Performance filter work?

A very fine mesh catches larger particles and impurities, for example rust or sand flowing from water pipes.
Natural coconut shell micro-charcoal reduces chlorine, filters out taste-damaging substances, trace contaminants such as certain herbicides, pesticides and pharmaceuticals, and reduces PFAS, ensuring the great taste of freshly filtered water.
Effective ion exchange beads soften water and reduce metals such as lead and copper.
An additional high-efficiency filter mesh stops small impurities.

How long does the Brita Maxtra Pro Pure Performance filter last?

How to use

How to replace the Brita Maxtra Pro Pure Performance filter in a mug?

Fill the washed bowl with cold water.
Immerse the cartridge in cold water and gently shake it to remove air bubbles.
Remove the filter and pour the water.
Insert the funnel into the pitcher and then press the water filter into the funnel.
Fill the Brita jug with cold water. No water flowing through the funnel after filling the jug with water will mean that the filter is not pressed down enough. In this case, press the top filter harder.
Filter and discard the water from the first two fillings.
By the third fill, the water is ready for use.
