Sapromed cutaneous powder, 12 g, Meduman

Indications:
Sapromed contains chlorquinaldol. Chlorquinaldol belongs to the group of halogenated hydroxyquinolones, with bacteriostatic properties against staphylococci, streptococci and enterococci as well as other strains sensitive or resistant to antibiotics. Its fungicidal action against a whole range of fungi and the destruction of some protozoa is also very important.
Sapromed is indicated in:
Pediatrics:
Pemphigus of newborns and other pyodermas of the child.
Surgery:
- Infected wounds, bedsores, incised abscesses, anthrax, panaritium, etc.
Dermatology:
- Prophylaxis and treatment of interdigital mycoses of the feet (in combination with other pharmaceutical forms).
If you do not feel better or feel worse after 7 days, you should consult a doctor.

Composition:
What Sapromed contains
- The active substance is chlorquinaldol. One gram of cutaneous powder contains 30 mg of chlorquinaldol.
-The other ingredients are: corn starch, talc.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Dosage
For adults and children, the recommended dose is 2-4 Sapromed applications per day.
Sapromed is applied by powdering on the affected skin area, used alone or in combination with an ointment containing chlorquinaldol, especially in infants.
Duration of treatment:
Sapromed is administered for a maximum period of 7 days.

Contraindications:
Do not use Sapromed
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to chlorquinaldol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Do not apply Sapromed to mucous membranes, especially the ocular and nasal mucosa.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Sapromed.
Sapromed with other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
There are no known interactions with other medications.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Sapromed can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as it is not absorbed after application to the skin.

Driving and using machines:
Sapromed does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
