Drontal Cat is an antiparasitic for cats in tablet form against segmental worms and roundworms.

COMPOSITION:

• 1 Drontal Cat tablet contains 230 mg pyrantel embonate and 20 mg praziquantel.

INDICATIONS:

For the treatment of nematodoses, cestodes and hookworm infections in cats:

• Nematodes: Toxocara cati (T. mystax), Toxascaris leonina;
• Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Ancylostoma braziliense;
• Cestodes: Dipylidium caninum, Echinococcus multilocularis, Taenia spp, Mesocestoides spp, Joyeuxiella pasqualei.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

• The dose is 5 mg praziquantel, 57.5 mg pyrantel embonate per kg of live weight;
• This is equivalent to 1 tablet per 4 kg of live weight.
• The product is administered as a single dose.
• Drontal Cat is very well tolerated.
• No special dietary measures are necessary.
• The tablets are administered orally, preferably mixed into a piece of meat, cheese or other food.

CONTRAINDICATIONS, PRECAUTIONS:

• Since sufficient studies have not been conducted for this combination, Drontal Cat should not be administered during pregnancy.
• Drontal Cat should not be administered concurrently with piperazine-based compounds.
