Drontal Dog Flavor is a veterinary medicine in the form of tasty tablets designed to combat the most common internal parasites in dogs. Thanks to its meat-flavored formula, the tablets are readily accepted by most animals, significantly simplifying the deworming process. The product provides a broad spectrum of action, eliminating mixed infestations caused by roundworms, tapeworms, and protozoa of the Giardia genus.

Active substances: 150 mg febantel, 50 mg pyrantel (equivalent to 144 mg pyrantel embonate), 50 mg praziquantel.

Product purpose

The product is intended for the treatment of mixed invasions in puppies and adult dogs caused by roundworms (ascarids, hookworms, whipworms), tapeworms (including Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multilocularis) and for the treatment of protozoan invasions of the Giardia spp.

Product characteristics

Drontal Dog Flavor tablets contain three active ingredients: febantel, pyrantel, and praziquantel, which effectively combat a wide range of intestinal parasites. The tablets have a meaty flavor, which makes them readily accepted by dogs, eliminating the need to force them. They are bone-shaped and scored on both sides, allowing for easy splitting to precisely adjust the dose to the dog's body weight. A single administration is sufficient for the treatment of roundworms and tapeworms. For the treatment of giardiasis (a protozoan infection), the product must be administered for three consecutive days.

Product use

Administer orally, 1 tablet per 10 kg of dog's body weight. Tablets can be administered directly or with food.

Body weight 2-5 kg: ½ tablet

Body weight >5-10 kg: 1 tablet

Body weight >10-15 kg: 1 ½ tablets

Body weight >15-20 kg: 2 tablets

For dogs weighing more than 20 kg, an additional half tablet should be administered for every additional 5 kg. For the treatment of Giardia spp. infections, the recommended dose should be administered for three consecutive days.

Notes and precautions

Do not use in dogs weighing less than 2 kg. Do not use in female dogs in the first or second trimester of pregnancy. Wash hands after administering the tablets. Store out of the reach of children. Fleas are intermediate hosts for tapeworms, so it is important to simultaneously control flea infestations. In the case of Giardia spp. infestation, thoroughly clean and disinfect the dog's environment to prevent re-infestation.
