How do Diagnostic Gold Strips work for your blood glucose meter?

The Diagnostic Gold Strip test strip is equipped with an electrode that analyzes the glucose level in a blood sample. When blood comes into contact with the reagents on the strip, a low-intensity electric current is generated, the intensity of which depends on the glucose concentration. The strip measures the current and converts it to a glucose value, displaying the result on the LCD screen.

After applying a drop of blood to the tip of the strip, the reaction field automatically draws in the sample using capillary action. When the entire yellow (reaction) field is completely filled, the device begins measuring.
