Hirudoid cream 3mg/g, 40 g, Stada
Composition:
100 g cream contains: polysulfuric acid ester with mucopolysaccharides 300 mg, corresponding to 25,000 IU, determined according to the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT). Other ingredients: glycerol 85%, stearic acid (vegetable origin), potassium stearate, potassium hydroxide, emulsified cream as a carrier, cetyl-stearyl alcohol, myristyl alcohol, thymol, parabens, isopropyl alcohol, purified water.
Indications:
Superficial thrombophlebitis, inflammatory conditions of varicose veins, after sclerotherapy of varicose veins, hematomas, edema, keloid scars, re-epithelization of lesions, burns and after surgical operations.
Contraindications:
In case of hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients.
Adverse reactions:
In isolated cases, local skin irritations and allergies have occurred.
Method of administration:
Hirudoid cream is applied to the affected area, once or twice a day, a fragment of about 3-5 cm in length (if necessary even more) and gently massaged until the cream penetrates the skin. In case of very painful inflammations and thrombosis, a thick layer of Hirudoid cream is applied to the affected area and around it and then covered with a dressing. In order to increase its effect, Hirudoid cream is applied under the cathode.
