Contractubex Gel, 50 g, Merz
Scars regardless of their nature, old or recent cause particular problems if they are located in the regions exposed to view.
A modern and particularly effective solution is Contractubex, a preparation based on plant extracts with anti-inflammatory effect, reduces edema and exaggerated growth of scar tissue, penetrates into the deep layers of the skin, increases integumentary blood flow.
It can be used on recent scars but also old ones produced as a result of:
- accidents
- burns
- acne
- surgery.
Composition:
- Contractubex contains methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, which can cause delayed allergic reactions
- Contractubex contains sorbic acid which can cause local skin reactions, e.g. contact dermatitis.
Active ingredients:
- Sodium heparin 5000 IU, liquid onion extract 10 g, allantoin 1 g per 100 g of gel
- The other components: sorbic acid, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, macrogol 200, xanthan gum, perfume composition 231616, purified water.
How to use:
- Gently massage Contractubex into the scar tissue area until the gel is completely absorbed
- If the scars are hard and old, Contractubex is left to act overnight under a bandage
- Depending on the size of the scar and contracture, treatment will be necessary for several weeks or several months
- When treating recent scars, avoid physical irritants such as intense cold, UV radiation or vigorous massage
- Always use Contractubex as prescribed by your doctor
- You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure
- If you have the impression that the effect of Contractubex is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist
- The effect of treatment with Contractubex is significant attenuation of scars, increases their elasticity and softness, uniformity of color in accordance with the surrounding skin.
Contraindications:
Do not use Contractubex in the following cases: hypersensitivity to liquid onion extract, sodium heparin, allantoin, p-hydroxybenzoates (parabens), sorbic acid or any of the excipients.
Precautions:
- Before using Contractubex, consult your doctor or pharmacist
- Contractubex contains paraben (methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate), which can cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed)
- Contractubex contains sorbic acid which can cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis)
- In children, Contractubex will only be used if the doctor considers that the benefits outweigh the risks.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility:
- Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine
- The risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding are not yet known.
Driving and using machines:
- Contractubex has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
