Clavusin is een huidoplossing met keratolytische werking voor de behandeling van kaalheid of eelt, op basis van salicylzuur en ijsazijn. Stoffen met keratolytische werking zijn middelen die de verwijdering van de verdikte buitenste laag van de huid bevorderen door een proces van ontbinding en afschilfering van dode huidcellen door de intercellulaire bindingen en chemische eigenschappen van keratine te veranderen.
