Description
Medical device for the symptomatic treatment of constipation and to soften stools.
The main component of DulcoSoft is macrogol 4,000, an osmotic laxative.
Macrogol 4000 has a high water-retaining capacity. It acts as a water transporter and delays intestinal absorption, resulting in an increase in the amount of water in the colon. It softens stool and increases its volume. This speeds up intestinal transit and makes evacuation easier, providing a natural and gentle feeling of relief from constipation and irregularity.
Macrogol 4,000 has a purely physical mode of action: it is practically unabsorbed by the body and is excreted unchanged.

How to use
Dilute with a drink of your choice (about 150 ml).
Adults and children over 8 years: 20-40 ml of solution per day (equivalent to 10-20 g of macrogol 4,000), preferably taken in a single administration in the morning.
Children aged 4-7 years: 16-32 ml of solution per day (equivalent to 8-16 g of macrogol 4,000), preferably taken in a single administration in the morning.
Children aged 2-3 years: 8-16 ml of solution per day (equivalent to 4-8 g of macrogol 4,000), preferably taken in a single administration in the morning.
Children between 6 months and 1 year: 8 ml of solution per day (equivalent to 4 g of macrogol 4,000), preferably taken in a single administration in the morning.
Use in children under 12 years of age should preferably take place under medical supervision.
Measure the dose using the measuring cup included in the package. The dose can be adjusted to individual needs, without exceeding the maximum recommended dose: it can vary from once a day to once every other day.
The appropriate dose is the lowest dose sufficient to produce regular, soft stools. The recommended daily dose should preferably be taken as a single dose in the morning.
The product's effectiveness occurs within 24 to 72 hours of taking it.
Do not take for more than 7 days.

Components
10 ml of solution contain: 5 g of Macrogol 4000, potassium sorbate (preservative), citric acid, purified water.

Without flavouring, sugar, lactose and gluten .

Warnings
Do not take if:
- hypersensitivity to macrogol 4,000 or to any of the other components;
- severe inflammatory bowel diseases (such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease) or toxic megacolon;
- gastrointestinal perforation or risk of gastrointestinal perforation;
- paralytic ileus or suspected intestinal obstruction or symptomatic stenosis;
- painful abdominal syndromes whose cause has not been established.
If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking DulcoSoft.
DulcoSoft should not be taken daily for prolonged periods of time without investigating the cause of constipation.
In case of diarrhoea, caution should be exercised in patients prone to fluid or electrolyte imbalance (e.g. elderly, patients with impaired hepatic or renal function or patients treated with diuretics) and electrolyte monitoring should be considered.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor first.
Do not use on children under 6 months.
Macrogol 4000 increases osmotic pressure in the intestine and may therefore alter the intestinal absorption of other products taken at the same time. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other products.
Excessive doses of DulcoFosft may cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, abdominal distension and vomiting, which resolve when treatment is stopped or the dose is reduced.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Conservation
Do not store above 25°C. Do not refrigerate. Do not use after the expiration date.
The expiration date refers to the last day of that month.
Shelf life after opening: 6 weeks.
